According to a Twitter report from Sports Illustrated's Jon Heyman, Jim Thome and Jon Garland have been dealt to the Dodgers. The White Sox will receive Justin Fuller in return and are also sending cash. Arizona will also send cash to the Dodgers in exchange for Garland. RealGM Note: James Loney has yet to deliver on the promise he showed in limited time during the 2006 and 2007 seasons, as he has an OPS of .740 this season. Thome has an .874 OPS and 23 homers this season, but he has played just 28 innings at first base over the past four seasons. Early reports suggest Thome will be used exclusively as a pinch hitter.
