The Braves suggested that outfielder Garret Anderson complete a rehab assignment in the minor leagues after a stint on the disabled list with a quadriceps strain. Anderson said on Sunday that he didn't feel the rehab trip was warranted. "Bobby Cox asked me, and I said no, I didn't need one," Anderson said. "I did it [when on the DL] in 2007 because I missed 50-60 games. This is a little different." Anderson expects to be ready to play on Tuesday against the Mets. He has played in just 10 games for the Braves this season. "It's not ideal," said Anderson. "[But] I don't sit around worrying about it. You do what you've got to do to get back playing. As a player, you can't control everything. You have to deal with it. You can't go out there and play safe."
