The Yankees best position prospect, Austin Jackson, is a center fielder but has yet to play AAA ball. He has a chance to be a difference maker but probably not until 2010. Melky Cabrera has seen little playing time this month as the Yankees have soured on him. The sense in the eyes of some is that they will give Brett Gardner every chance to be the everyday man in center field in 2009.
