Cubs' starter Carlos Zambrano could end up missing just one start following a diagnosis of shoulder inflammation and rotator cuff tendinitis on Thursday, according to Chicago Tribune. He received an anti-inflammatory shot on Thursday, as well, and the Cubs hope he'll start next weekend in Houston. "Hopefully, by time we get to St. Louis [on Tuesday] he will throw [in the bullpen]," GM Jim Hendry said. "If that proceeds in a positive fashion, he will be ready to start, probably by the end of the series in Houston." Chicago has a five-game lead over Milwaukee for first place in the NL Central.
