After a discussion described as 'extensive and constructive' Major League Baseball's Scoring Review Committee decided that the judgment of the scorer, Bob Webb, was not 'clearly erroneous.'
"Major League Baseball appreciates the work that official scorers do throughout the season," said MLB's Senior VP for Club Relations, Phyllis Merhige in a press release. "Bob Webb is a 20-year scorer who is held in high regard. This play is a reminder of the difficult decisions that official scorers face."
