Joba Chamberlain inched closer to his return to the mound earlier this week as his bullpen session on Monday was deemed a success, according to Hartford Courant. "This felt better than the last time, as far as strength-wise," Chamberlain said. "I probably let three or four go [at full effort]." Chamberlain hasn't pitched since leaving a start against Texas on Aug. 4 because of shoulder discomfort. "We'll just take it one day at a time," Manager Joe Girardi said. "It shouldn't take too long because it hasn't been that long since he has pitched."
