Brewers' starting pitcher C.C. Sabathia homered in the third inning against the Reds on Sunday to help lead Milwaukee to a 3-2 victory at Miller Park. Cincinnati scored in the second and third innings, but the Brewers rallied behind Sabathia to comeback. Sabathia pitched all nine innings, improving his season record to 8-8, striking out nine batters on 122 pitches. Craig Counsell hit a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the ninth, scoring Bill Hall, to give Milwaukee a walk-off win.
