Carlos Zambrano said on Saturday that he was "a little bit" upset with the Cubs for placing him on the 15-day disabled list because of a shoulder injury, according to The Chicago Tribune. He has a minor shoulder strain that isn't expected to place his season in jeopardy. When the team told him of their decision to place him on the DL, he reportedly stormed off, and banging was heard moments later. "That's the reaction you'd want from him," General Manager Jim Hendry said. "He wasn't real pleased with me right away, but we talked through it, and by [Sunday] I'll be telling him it's a chance to work on his hitting." Although Zambrano's shoulder problem was described as minor, Hendry and the medical staff decided he would benefit physically and mentally from a two-week rest.
