Chien-Ming Wang suffered a right foot injury on Sunday afternoon as the Yankees completed a three-game sweep of the Astros in Houston. He pitched five scoreless innings before leaving the game, recording his eighth win of the season. He appeared to injure his foot while scoring from second base in the top of the sixth. He pulled up soon after scoring and had to be helped back into the dugout by his teammates. He was on crutches after the game, and Manager Joe Girardi admitted that he doesn't envision Wang making his next start.
