Hideki Matsui suffered through a difficult final game to the season, going 0-for-5 and making the last out on a sharp grounder to first. Despite that ending, however, Matsui is front and center in the Yankees' offseason plans because he is a free agent. All signs point toward Matsui reupping with the Bombers, but when asked late last night if he was able to think about what the future might hold for him, Matsui simply shook his head. "At this point right now, I'm not thinking about anything," Matsui said through an interpreter. "My head is filled with what happened in the game and that's it. It's very disappointing for me. I can't think about the other things right now. I will worry about them when the time is right."
