Gary Sheffield will take the spot of Jacque Jones in left field, who was designated for assignment. "I'm a better baseball player than I am a DH, " Sheffield said on Monday. Sheffield said he never got comfortable in the DH role. "Once I started DHing and saw what it was all about, it's not me. It just don't fit my personality."
