Jorge Posada will likely be placed on the disabled list for the first time in his career with a recurring shoulder injury, according to the New York Times. Posada was a late scratch against the Indians on Sunday afternoon, and he is likely to visit Dr. James Andrews at some point this week to find out the extent of the injury. He has only caught nine games for the Yankees this season, batting as the designated hitter for a long stretch because of the lingering shoulder issues. Jose Molina will likely start in Posada's absence, which at this point will be at least a 15-day stay on the DL.
