Carlos Rodon has opted out of his contract with the San Francisco Giants and entered free agency.
Rodon had a player option for 2023 at $22.5 million, but given his performance this season it's no surprise he opted for the open market.
The left-hander, who turns 30 in December, had a 2.88 ERA and 237 strikeouts in 178 innings pitched in 2022.
