The New York Mets have agreed to a Minor League deal with R.J. Alvarez.
The reliever has appeared in a pair of Major League seasons, pitching for the San Diego Padres and Oakland Athletics between 2014-15.
He combined to work 28 innings over 31 outings, posting a 7.39 ERA.
