The Chicago Cubs have had internal discussions about making a run at Anthony Rizzo in free agency after the lockout, according to a report.
The Cubs previously tried to sign Rizzo to a long-term deal during spring training last year. Chicago reportedly made a five-year, $70 million offer, but Rizzo turned it down.
The Cubs then traded Rizzo to the New York Yankees at the trade deadline.
