A photo leaked on Thursday showing a scoreboard at the United Center in Chicago that read "Bryce Harper #34" with the White Sox logo.
There also appeared to be a stage underneath the scoreboard, leading some to speculate that the White Sox had a surprise announcement to make. Nothing happened, but the White Sox are likely preparing a video presentation for Harper.
It's unclear if the White Sox will host Harper for a visit, or simply send a recruiting video to agent Scott Boras.
Jose Abreu's $68 million deal is the most the team has ever given to a free agent.
