Entering the final year of his contract, it appears unlikely that the Yankees will offer Curtis Granderson a long-term extension before he hits free agency.

When you consider the contracts that were handed out to center fielders this winter, Granderson is primed to sign a huge deal after the 2013 campaign.

B.J. Upton got $75.25 million (five years), Shane Victorino received $39 million (three years), Angel Pagan signed for $45 million (four years) and Michael Bourn signed for $48 million (four years).

Granderson has better offensive numbers than all four of those players, but his defensive numbers are poor.
