Josh Hamilton accepted a five-year, $125 million offer from the Angels on Thursday afternoon without giving the Rangers a chance to match.
Hamilton's agent called general manager Jon Daniels to inform him that the slugger was leaving for Los Angeles.
Daniels is "not pleased with how negotiations ended."
