The Red Sox have expressed interest in Anibal Sanchez, who is reportedly seeking a contract worth upwards of $90 million.

Boston signed Sanchez as an amateur free agent in 2001 while general manager Ben Cherington was overseeing international scouting for the organization. He was eventually traded to the Marlins in the Josh Beckett/Hanley Ramirez deal.
