The Giants have reinstated Melky Cabrera, but he won't play in the postseason.
Cabrera was suspended 50 games for failing a PED test and if the team decided to, he could have played in the NLCS against the Cardinals.
The Giants are believed to be more open to re-signing Cabrera than they were immediately following the hitter's suspension. As he heads towards free agency, he'll come at a bargain price in his prime because of the PED issue.
