Brett Tomko notched his 100th win as the Athletics shut out the Rangers 9-0 on Monday night. "It's a good way to do it, if you're going to do it," Tomko told the San Jose Mercury News. "I definitely knew about it, but I never thought I'd get to do it this year because I was coming out of the bullpen in New York. But I got some quick victories here and it became a reality." The veteran pitcher is 4-1, 2.95 in six starts with the A's. "It's a huge deal for me now (to finish the season strong) and hopefully we'll talk here about a deal," Tomko added. "But it's definitely important because you want to set yourself up going into free agency."
