File this one under better late than never, but the Angels have finally created an opening in the rotation for Jered Weaver? again. After a prodigious beginning to his career, the Angel decision makers apparently felt it was a better idea to return Jered to AAA so that his big brother Jeff could continue to muddle through his disaster of a season. A few weeks later they saw the error of their ways and traded Jeff to the Cardinals, allowing Jered to pick up where he left off. Read more »

What a great night! Sophomore sensation, Ervin Santana, pitched a brilliant game. He went six innings and struck out a career high 10 batters. The Angels pitching was excellent striking out a total of 14 Tigers in the 3-0 shutout. Read more »

Another one run game between the Oakland Athletics and Los Angeles Angels on Sunday. Vladimir Guerrero carried the halo?s offense on his back for a 4-3 win against the Athletics. Read more »

Jeff Weaver picked up his first win as an Angel on Saturday in a 5-4 Angels victory. He made one mistake in the game and that was to Oakland?s Nick Swisher who took the blunder over the right field wall for a grand slam. The grand slam didn?t hurt the Angels as K-Rod and the boys closed down the A?s for the rest of the game. Read more »

The Angels headed over to Oakland for a three game series against their division rival Athletics. Going into the game you knew it would be a pitchers duel. The game was ugly, but not for that reason. The Angels pitching staff walked 10 batters, just handing Oakland the game. Read more »

A day after blowing a save, Francisco Rodriguez closed out the Twins on Thursday picking up his 5th save of the season. That?s the good thing about baseball. You can fail one day and come back the very next day, facing the same team, and get revenge. Well, that?s what K-Rod did in a 6-4 Angels win. Read more »

J.C. Romero came in the tenth inning and gave up a two-run, walk off homer to his former teammate, Michael Cuddyer. The Twins traded Romero to the Angels for infielder Alexi Castilla. Apparently Romero thought he?d do the Twins a favor by allowing them the chance to hit a fastball right down the middle. I?m sure Cuddyer and the Twins thanked J.C. after the game. Read more »

Kelvim Escobar razzled and dazzled the Twins on Tuesday. Escobar gave the Angels their best start all season by striking out 10 batters in just 6 2/3 innings. While Escobar supplied the pitching, Chone Figgins carried the offense. Put the two together, and you have an 8-2 win. Read more »

The Angels played Baltimore on Monday to finish off the four game series. The halos scored two runs while giving up four. In the past ten games, the Angels have managed to only win five of the them. Amazingly, the Angels are still in first place in the AL West. Read more »

Angels slugger Vladimir Guerrero broke his dry spell, by hitting his second and third homeruns of the season. Vlad hadn?t hit a homerun since opening day against Jamie Moyer and the Seattle Mariners. Read more »

The Angels offense didn?t have an answer for Baltimore?s ace Erik Bedard. This win gives Bedard his third of the season, tying him with Curt Schilling for the AL league lead. Read more »

Scot Shields gave up a walk off homerun to Orioles catcher, Ramon Hernandez, in the bottom of the 9th inning, giving the Angels their 5th loss of the season. Read more »

Finally, the game is over. It's not fun watching your favorite team get crushed, especially after winning two games in a row. With two men on base, Adam Kennedy goes clutch driving a first pitch fastball down the right field line, plating both runs. The Angels got another quality start, this time from John Lackey. Lackey went a strong seven innings, striking out eight batters. Halos played their offensive style of baseball; no homeruns. Instead of hitting the long ball, the Angels stole bases and hit weak fly balls, supplying Lackey with enough run support to close out the win. Read more »

Bartolo Colon took the mound for the Halos on Saturday and received a rude welcoming from the Yankees. Colon got creamed like a bagel giving up seven earned runs in just a measly two innings. Read more »

Adam Kennedy hit a clutch triple driving in two runs in the bottom of the 5th inning breaking a 1-1 tie. With this win, the Angels take the series and will look to sweep the Yankees in tomorrow?s finale. Read more »

Emotions were flying high today as the Angels took on the New York Yankees for their home opener. The Angels returned to Anaheim from a 3-game road trip to kick off the season where they ended up losing two out of the three games. That wouldn?t lower the Halo?s spirits though as they beat the Yankees 4-1. Read more »

Jeff Weaver got roughed up a bit in his debut as an Angel. Weaver gave up five runs in 6.1 innings rising his ERA to 7.11. Jarrod Washburn, former Angel, got the start for the Mariners. He pitched excellent striking out seven in seven and allowing only two runs. Read more »

In his first start of the season, John Lackey was unsuccessful. He pitched only four innings and game up 5 earned runs on 9 hits. The bullpen did solid again today, well, with the exception of Esteban Yan. Hector Carrasco pitched 3 shutout innings striking out 3 and looked real good in his Angel debut. Read more »
