The Opsera is a statistic RealGM Executive Editor Chris Reina created in order to objectively rank teams by how well they hit (OPS) and pitch (ERA).

In order to determine the Opsera rating for each, we take their OPS, multiply that number by 10 to move the decimal point over one place to the right and then subtract their ERA from that number.

All Statistics are through Sunday, May 25th. Last week's rankings are in parenthesis.

1. (1) Los Angeles Dodgers – 4.51
The Dodgers are on top for the fourth week in a row. Despite getting swept by the Giants in San Francisco, their pitching wasn't all that bad. The hitting has dipped, but remained steady at the end of the week.

The Cardinals still have the top pitching staff in the Major Leagues. They had a 23-scoreless innings streak broken on Saturday.
