Once he was demoted, it was only a matter of time before the other shoe was dropped. That happened on Wednesday as Jeff Weaver was sent to the St. Louis Cardinals for minor league outfielder Terry Evans and cash considerations. It is believed that the Angels are paying almost half of the remaining salary owed to Weaver. Weaver is expected to join the Cardinals this weekend in Houston and join the rotation shortly after.
