Andy Pettitte threw 42 pitches during a bullpen session on Friday and seems prepared to start in a spring game against the Red Sox on Monday, according to the Associated Press. He was scratched from a start on Wednesday because of a minor irritation in his throwing elbow. "It felt real good," Pettitte said. "I was able to stretch it out in my long toss. For me to back up the distance in my long toss like I did, I knew I wasn't going to have any problems. ... Stretch out like that in long toss, you know your arm is good."
