Outfielder Moises Alou insists that he will return to the field for the Mets after having hernia surgery, according to the New York Daily News. "You know what? Everybody is already saying, 'Can he come back?' Before you know it, here I come back again," the 41-year-old Alou said on Friday. "It makes me want to work harder to come back sooner. Unfortunately, things like this happen." "I wanted to be there for Opening Day, and I know there are a lot of expectations and because of the letdown last year. But am I going to just pack it up and go home? No way. Nobody's going to work harder to get back. I'm the one that knows me best," he added.
