The Mets are interested in free agent Jorge Posada and could also still bring back Paul Lo Duca. But they have also shown interest in free-agent backstop Yorvit Torrealba, according to Torrealba's agent, Melvin Roman. The 29-year-old Torrealba hit .255 with eight homers and 47 RBIs for the Rockies this past season. He threw out 20 percent of runners trying to steal in 2007 after nailing an impressive 40 percent in 2006. A concern for Torrealba could be his home-road offensive splits. At Coors this past season, he hit .296 with six homers in 203 at-bats, and on the road he batted.212 with two homers in 193 at-bats. Roman said Torrealba's first choice is to stay in Colorado.
