Brian Sabean is trying to re-sign the Giants who occupied both of Alex Rodriguez's positions: Omar Vizquel, who at 40 remained a Gold Glove-caliber shortstop, and third baseman Pedro Feliz. Negotiations have begun with Vizquel's agent Adam Katz, who's seeking a two-year deal while the Giants prefer one year and perhaps a vesting option. Feliz, who has changed agents (Mike Arias to the Levinson brothers, Sam and Seth), seems more willing to go slower and possibly let the free-agent process play out.
