When you?re standing on a baseball field clutching a World Series MVP trophy in the midst of being showered with deafening chants of "Re-sign Lowell!" from more than a thousand Red Sox fans, well, it can?t really get much better. "The coolest thing is that I?m instantly part of baseball history," Lowell said, deep in the postgame celebration. "It doesn?t get better than that." But the fact of the matter is, Lowell might not be a Red Sox next season. "I don?t want to imagine life without him," said Sox ace Josh Beckett, who came over from Florida with Lowell on that fateful Thanksgiving back in 2005. "I hope they re-sign him. But it?s not up to me; it?s up to him."
