Japanese sport fans haven't had a lot to cheer about lately. The top sumo wrestler is sidelined for playing hooky. Japan's biggest young boxing star just got suspended for going Tyson on an opponent after his second advised him in the corner to "use your elbows." Then there was Dice-K. Not even a hot start with the Red Sox was enough to convince some fans that he was worth his $103 million contract to play in the big leagues. And then, when he started to slip, the eyes really started to roll. Not now. Wonder boy Daisuke Matsuzaka is a hero again, the only Japanese pitcher to win a World Series game and a big contributor to the Red Sox' during their 4-0 sweep of the Rockies. The games were all shown live on Japanese satellite TV. The final one was broadcast Monday morning, Japan time. By then, Japanese baseball fans were already celebrating.
