The New York Yankees, who had previously been linked to Andrew Benintendi, might be rethinking their interest in obtaining him as part of a deadline deal, according to a report.
Benintendi was placed on the restricted list ahead of the Kansas City Royals' trip to Toronto to face the Blue Jays because of his unvaccinated status.
The Yankees play three more games in Toronto this season, but the more significant issue would be if they faced the Blue Jays in the postseason.
