David Ross says that Chicago Cubs right-hander Kyle Hendricks won't throw for at least two-to-three weeks.

Hendricks landed on the injured list with a shoulder strain last week. As of now, he won't require surgery but seems unlikely to pick up a baseball until at least August.

The 32-year-old has a 4.80 ERA and 66 strikeouts over 84 1/3 innings this season.
