There has been a lot of talk about the inconsistency of Major League baseballs this season, something Rob Manfred says the league is focused on.

Teams are scoring an average of 4.06 runs per game, which would be the lowest mark since 1981.

"The change we made in '21 was intended to, and did, have the effect of centering the baseball in the range of specifications much more tightly," Manfred said.
