The Major League Baseball Players Association only made minor changes in the proposal given to the league during collective bargaining negotiations on Tuesday.

The union reduced the proposed bonus pool system for pre-arbitration performers from $105 million to $100 million. That's still light years away from the $10 million pool the league envisioned.

The other reported modification to the union's offer was related to disincentivizing service time gaming.

The MLBPA is seeking to allow players to "earn" a full year of service based upon their finishes in various awards voting and placements on Wins Above Replacement leaderboards.
