Jacob deGrom allowed six runs in four innings against the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday night, ending his streak of quality starts at 26 games.

deGrom is the reigning National League Cy Young winner.

He hadn't delivered anything less than a quality start for the New York Mets since May 13, 2018, when he left a start early due to injury.

"He just didn't have it today," Mickey Callaway said. "He and Bob Gibson had it longer than anybody else ever in the history of the game, and tonight he just didn't have it."
