The Boston Red Sox have been in contact with the Baltimore Orioles about a possible trade for Manny Machado, according to a report.
Machado, who will be a free agent this winter, entered Tuesday hitting .309/.379/.555. A Red Sox scout was in attendance on Tuesday night as the infielder belted two home runs.
It was reported over the weekend that the New York Yankees had engaged the Orioles in talks.
