The New York Mets have reached out to Brad Ausmus and they've had one conversation about their vacant managerial position to date.
Ausmus was let go by the Detroit Tigers after a last-place finish in the AL Central.
He is believed to be a candidate for multiple jobs, including the Philadelphia Phillies.
Bob Geren, Chip Hale, Kevin Long, Alex Cora and Sandy Alomar have also been linked to the Mets' job.
