The Arizona Diamondbacks will hire Amiel Sawdaye as assistant general manager under new GM Mike Hazen.
Sawdaye, who follows Hazen to Arizona from Boston, will also have the title of senior vice president.
He was also under consideration to be named GM of the Red Sox and had been linked to the Minnesota Twins as well.
