The Reds plan to finalize Aroldis Chapman's role for the coming season within the next few days.
Dusty Baker and Chapman have expressed their desire for a closing role, but the front office is leaving their options open.
"We'll get it done this week, the next few days probably," Walt Jocketty said.
In three games this spring, including two starts, Chapman has a 2.25 ERA.
