A photo of Justin Verlander made the rounds on the Interest on Friday, but it turns out that the image was doctored.
In the fake photo, Verlander is wearing a black t-shirt supporting Pablo Sandoval. Verlander gave up a pair of home runs to Sandoval in San Francisco's Game 1 win over Detroit in the World Series this week.
Tigers public relations director Brian Britten clarified the issue to USA Today.
"That's an absolute fraud," Britten said. "I took the (original) picture in Chicago. The actual t-shirt says keep the 'MVP in the D.'"
