Charlie Manuel will return to manage the Phillies next season in the final year of his contract, but many believe the organization has already tabbed his replacement.

Ryne Sandberg, who has managed the Triple-A Lehigh Valley IronPigs for two seasons, has a great reputation within the front office.

The Phillies like him so much that he's probably become the most obvious replacement for any team in the big leagues. "He's been great. He's done a nice job for us," Ruben Amaro said.

The belief is that Manuel will retire after the 2013 season.
