The Rays acquired Ben Francisco from the Astros on Friday in exchange for a player to be named later.
Francisco landed in Houston when the Astros and Blue Jays completed a 10-player trade in mid-July.
He hit .244/.292/.370 with two homers in 144 plate appearances for the Astros and Blue Jays this season.
