In an interview with 98.5 The Sports Hub in Boston on Wednesday, Peter Gammons expressed belief that Jon Lester is unhappy with the Red Sox. The left-hander is 5-6 with a 4.49 ERA this season and may want out of Boston. "I just sense that Jon is so unhappy here that I'm sure it would be good for him," Gammons said regarding a potential trade of Lester. "The question is how would the team survive without the hope of having Jon Lester go out and win 10 games in the second half of the season?" Earlier Wednesday, Lester retweeted several angry messages from fans upset with his performance and the team's first half. "A lot of u have some harsh things to say. No one is more disappointed w/ how the 1st half of the season went than us. That's why we [never quit]," Lester tweeted. "Get it all out now. And for those of you who remain positive and supportive, I can't tell you how much we appreciate it!"
