Yankees Value Stewart's Ability To Frame Pitches

The Yankees acquired catcher Chris Stewart before the start of the season, a deal that appeared to make little sense on the surface.
Francisco Cervelli is a far better hitter, but New York values Stewart's ability to frame pitches, which they feel is undervalued.
"He's one of the better ones that do it," Joe Girardi said.
