There is no evidence that a deal is close, but the Rangers have offered Japanese right-hander Yu Darvish a contract worth about $52 million.
Sources told CBS Sports that Texas is offering Darvish "Dice K money," which means the value is around $52 million.
Daisuke Matsuzaka received a six-year, $52 million deal from the Red Sox last decade.
The Rangers used a bid of $51.7 million just to win the right to negotiate with Darvish.
