The Cardinals are leaning towards starting Kyle Lohse if they need a pitcher for a potential Game 7 of the World Series against the Rangers. Lohse endured a third consecutive abbreviated start this postseason during the Cardinals' 16-7 win in Saturday's Game 3. St. Louis manager Tony La Russa and pitching coach Dave Duncan discussed the topic Sunday morning, but have yet to make a final decision. "I've given Kyle's appearance yesterday some thought and put in the context of the other ones. Dave and I drove to the ballpark today and discussed it some. But it's all about today, period," La Russa said.
