The Braves have hired Greg Walker as their hitting coach, ending a 3 1/2-week process to replace Larry Parrish. Walker, Atlanta's third hitting coach in three seasons, worked in the same capacity since 2003 with the White Sox. Chicago first baseman Paul Konerko routinely praised Walker for helping him revive his career as a slugger.
