The Angels aren't wasting time as they search for a new general manager. Los Angeles owner Arte Moreno and team president John Carpino have been in Florida this week and already have met with Rays executive vice president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman and Yankees executive Damon Oppenheimer, according to a source. In addition to a general manager, the Angels have several other front-office positions to fill, including farm director, assistant general manager and some pro scouting jobs. "I can't comment on anything specific, but we're making progress in our search," Angels vice president of communications Tim Mead said. "We continue to move on filling those positions and it's moving at a good pace."
