There is a chance that pending Cubs general manager Theo Epstein will add Jed Hoyer to his front office, according to a report. Hoyer, who is currently the general manager of the Padres, would be succeeded by Josh Byrnes, who his currently San Diego's vice president of baseball operations. "I'm proud of what we have accomplished so far and I'm excited about what we continue to build here in San Diego," Hoyer told XX-1090, the team's flagship radio station. "I'm busy interviewing hitting coaches today and I'm not going to comment on media speculation."
