Darryl Strawberry believes shortstop Jose Reyes should stay in New York with the Mets. Reyes could become a free agent after the season, meaning he could be playing his final few games with the only Major League franchise he has played for. Strawberry was in a similar position back in 1990 as a homegrown star about to hit the free market in the prime of his career. Fed up with management, Strawberry left to sign with his hometown team, the Dodgers. Looking back, he says if he had to do it all over again he never would have left New York.
